It is the little things we do
That make up a life.
Big things create memories,
But daily minutia
Begets quality.

It is noticing the weather.
Asking of a friend.
Clearing one’s space,
Caring for the kin.

Big things can be life changing.
Little things are life growing.

We hardly notice the little things in life.  Maybe it is best that way.  If we really knew how important they often are, then we might be nervous.  It might be best just to go through life generally clueless.  We may never know how we or our actions impact each other.  We may never know the true value of our lives.  May I submit that as long as each of us grow to be better people, then all is good.   sktp

Time for a Holiday Tea?

It is early, yes.  It is not even Halloween and Christmas is being advertised.  But I am beginning to receive calls to schedule speaking engagements for holiday teas.  I thought it best to give everyone a heads up.  So, here goes the blatant self promotion.

If you or your friends are having a tea or like event and would be interested in me coming to read some of my classic tea poetry or talk about tea, I would love to come and make a presentation.  There will be laughs, an occasional tear, but mostly just smiles and a joyful experience.  It is really a charming time for poetry, tea and holiday festivities!

There would of course be a charge, but we could work that out to everyone's satisfaction, I am sure.

Unnoticed Moments

The prototype of the new book has arrived and it looks pretty darned good!  (If I must say.)   This book is a collection of your favorite Patterson poetry of the last several years.  Oh, and to correct a previous statement, there is one tea poem in the book. So relax tea lovers!
