A Clear and Sustainable Appreciation of Reality

All through the universe, realities may run together.

A Clear and Sustainable
Appreciation of Reality

Was is not real.
It passed in the night and
Transformed itself into
That which is now.

Now is what we have.
It has grown from many
Nights of passings,
From fading away to
Transfiguration to
Existence.

It has become what we know
And what we can trust.
It has become
Our everlasting.
That is what our love is,
That is what our life is,
Not was.

Hello there!  Have you missed me?  I have missed you.  I did not realize the affection of The Causerie to my readers until I stopped posting for awhile.  Very sorry, I was otherwise occupied with a little breast cancer, but I am much better now.  So, welcome back to The Causerie.  By the way, if you did not know, Causerie is a French word for discussion.  Therefore, feel free to email me or comment on The Causerie what you think. You and I will have a little discussion. ☺️

The poem posted above is an older piece, but still quite valid. We get so wrapped up in what 'was' in the world, we forget about what is going on now.  Our confusion could come from remembering happier times or it could come from times which were so difficult that even breathing was difficult.  No matter.  Now is our reality.   What is it that might make your 'now' better?  What will make you and yours happy?   I urge you to take a step to discover a better 'now'.  Thank you for reading.  Your poet, skp

Passions, is a collection of Susan Patterson poems which speak for and from the heart of humanity.
The poetry presented in Passions may be at times
sexual, at times bawdy, but mostly loving and
respectful in our efforts to be better individuals.
The poems are small stories of sorts. And, these
poems range from sensual, to sexy, to emotionally
touching. All talk of love in one way or another.
All bring to light the human’s compassion and
ability to care for each other.

Here is a sample poem from our very popular little red book of love poems.

A Story of Delicacy

They met under the covers,
This couple in the night.
He and she barely touched,
But their subtle intensity
Was intoxicating.

With her fingers, she
Followed the lines of his life that
Were etched in his hands.
She spent a half a hour just on the
Right hand alone.
The touch lifted her.

Then she went to his left hand.  It
Too told his story.
She felt it in the hollow of his palm
And in the strength of his fingers.
She was reminded of what she
Already knew about him.

Their lips almost met,
Their bodies almost entwined,
But intentionally they did not.
Magnetism ensued.
Hands heeded the passion.
He responded
By placing her hand
Just where it needed to be.
She did the same.
