As in Most of Life’s Passages,
Acceptance is Not a Bad Thing
The absorbing effort of the
Ineffectual intellect
Is at most, fearful.
At the least, it is bewildering.
Somewhere in the middle,
Is the understanding
Of one’s own acumen--
Brilliance that is belied
By the moment
A mind
Must take
In order
To become
Clear.

I don't think I want to say too much about this poem. To some, a discussion of it might be deeply personal. To others it might become an explanation of life. Other readers may find it utter nonsense. However, I will say that it represents a transition time, and we all know that changes are not by definition, easy or difficult. They just are changes. skp
